As I write this we have just had the licensing service and first Sunday service. Both of which I am sure will be mentioned elsewhere. But I would like to thank the choir for some wonderful singing.
Last month we had our final wedding of the year which we had good ringing for. At practice we are all coming on at pace with as Andrew getting better all the time we are able to push the rest of us some more. So I hope some of our strange noises on Wednesday have been getting better and making a difference to the ringing on Sunday.
From our side please can I thank you all for your kind words about the ringing on Saturday. I personally would like to thank Vincent for organising some extra ringers, more than I was expecting. I would also like to thank the ringers who turned up Rose, Kevin, Melvin and Mandy along with Arthur who came down for the weekend and seems to be enjoying his teaching even more. It amazed me that he has now started his second year teaching, I still remember when he was at university which was when I started to ring; I know a lot you know him for even longer.
With nine of us for the six bells it allowed us to mix the ringing up a bit. With so many experienced ringers some of us where able to sit down and watch as they rang some of the most complicated ringing which has been heard at Theale for many years.
