Looking after our Church Building
Holy Trinity, Theale is a listed building being of special architectural
and historic interest. The Bodley angels on the home
page are an example and look in the History
section. The church is a feature of the Berkshire landscape.
It is the home of a warm and loving church. Maintaining
such an important and large building is very costly.
But we need help -
Contact Geoffrey or the
treasurer if you can help please.
The church has a number of projects requiring capital in order to carry them out. It would be lovely to provide access for wheelchairs to the church if we could find a way and had the money, providing a meeting area and storage space in church and..... well, there are lots of improvements that are impossible at the moment.
Unavoidable repairs and replacements:
Work to the roof has been an unavoidable repair. It has cost us hundreds of thousands of pounds and we are grateful for all those who have helped us complete all this.
Other projects include lighting and electrical work,
Any contribution you can give the church will help however large or small.
Geoffry writes: "Your parish church is 175
years old and few people realise that it is the parish themselves who have to
fund all the repairs and everyday bills of the church in Theale to ensure that
it is here..."
"We need your help to pay our bills
this year, to ensure that Theale can play its full part in paying for the
Ministry
and Mission of the Church in the village.
