2017

On Sunday 12th March is was not only an opportunity to welcome our guest speaker but also to thank the very talented painter David Herridge who had done the restoration work in the church.

As many people are aware, Holy Trinity is a listed building so we try to keep it in good shape. Sadly some of the decorative paintwork had become damaged by water flowing from a leak on the roof (now repaired) Mr Herridge has very carefully matched both the colour and design of the original paintwork so skilfully that you cannot tell new paintwork from old.

Having had work done on the roof, a new pathway laid, and extra hand rails by the steps there is still plenty of work which needs to be done, both by way of regular upkeep and to make the church accessible for the
disabled.

We are very grateful to Rod Trevaskus who has done a lot of the paperwork and supervision to make all this possible.
