Who's who?

Martin Davy (Rector)

I have served as the Rector (senior minister) of Holy Trinity since September 2019. I am married to Lisa and we have two children, Elizabeth and Alexander.

I was born and raised in Nottingham and had been a weekly church-goer since I was born. However, it was only in my 20s, when a friend offered to read the Bible with me, that I truly discovered the wonder of who Jesus is and why he came. As a consequence, I am passionate about teaching the Bible clearly and faithfully in a way that encourages and equips people from all walks of life and all ages to know Jesus, grow as disciples of Jesus and go and make followers of Jesus.

I trained for ministry at Oak Hill College, North London and have previously been on the ministry teams at St Nicholas Church, Tooting and St Lawrence Church, Morden.

As part of my service here in Theale I also serve as a school governor at Theale C of E Primay School, a Chaplain to the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue service in Theale, and am a trustee of local charity, Dr Ellington's Charity. I am also on the leadership team of Oxford Diocese Evangelical Fellowship, I am a member of the Church of England General Synod.

Alex Richardson (Associate Minister)

I joined the team at Holy Trinity as Associate Minister in 2025. I’m married to Nadia and we have two sons, Andrei and Denys. Before Theale, we lived in Siberia for nearly thirteen years, serving with evangelical churches in the city of Novosibirsk, where I also taught at a local seminary.

I was born in Reading and came to faith in Jesus Christ when I was a teenager. I was amazed how the Gospel made sense of life and became convinced that Jesus had risen from the dead. So I’m thrilled to be earning a living teaching the Bible as Jesus’ words to the world!
